Unlike most conventional presets out there, our Color Layers do different things depending on the starting colors of the base image.
We don’t just slap colors on top of your images... we’re primarily shifting the color data that is already present in your shot to achieve target ranges and characteristics (this gives you the "look") with an emphasis on preserving skin tones and highlights.
If your starting image is far from the target, we shift it further… if your starting image is close to the target, we shift it more subtly. If your image has tons of greens, the preset will try to shift the image in a certain direction. If your image has lots of blue tones, it may shift it another way. They express themselves uniquely on city shots versus forest shots versus desert shots.
This approach results in a much more versatile set of color tools. You'll find that most Color Layers are compatible with any given image which simply isn't the case with other presets on the market.
A big part of the magic of Color Layers is that they are layer-able. Because each preset is applied as its own layer, you can mix-and-match multiple ones to achieve unique looks or duplicate the same one to increase intensity.
Experiment with different combinations of Color Layers to find looks that fit your style.
